Our personalized sign is made from an authentic reclaimed whiskey barrel bung stave. The bung stave is the wide stave of a barrel where a hole is drilled (the bunghole) into the barrel for filling and draining of whiskey/bourbon. The standard option is just the stave with the bunghole. However, if you prefer the hole closed you have the option to include the bung (the round piece of wood that is used to close the hole) at checkout.

+ Item will vary in width (4" - 5") and length (approximately 35")
+ This is a unique piece; size, color, patina, and markings will vary as no two barrels are the same
+ 2 D-Hooks are attached on back for hanging
+ Each piece is sanded and stained dark walnut (if you prefer another stain option please message us)
+ The loose char of the stave is removed and a light coat of polyurethane applied
+ The personalization is engraved into the stave, and can include a family name and established date, or the personalization of your choice.
Current Production Time is 1-2 weeks. These are custom items, and they are made to order. Please note that we are very busy around holidays, and sometimes we will extend the lead time around the busy holiday seasons.
Each sign is handcrafted in our workshop from a unique barrel and we add pieces of the metal barrel bands to enhance the authentic barrel appearance. Each piece is handmade and can vary slightly. No two signs will be the same, as no two barrels are the same.
